KAREN L. NELSON

Karen Nelson discovered her artistic talents while doodling on her cast after she broke her ankle horseback riding in 2002. Her favorite mediums are watercolor and acrylic used to create heartwarming pieces of imagery.

Nature brings her peace and, she loves the zen-like birds and flowers of Vancouver Island. Her viewers benefit from the healing properties of her artwork. Karen’s talent is divinely guided and she appreciates the opportunity to channel the spirit world as she paints her visions into compositions.

She was born in the city of Calgary amidst the prairies of Alberta. Her background as a Registered Nurse and Healing Touch Practitioner have contributed to her spirituality and understanding of mankind.

Nurturing and bringing relaxation to people and animals through sharing healing energy is a source of enjoyment for her. She provides guided meditations on at least a weekly basis to enable each participant to become more familiar with her inner child, facilitate resolution of issues and promote relaxation.

Several of her paintings and cards are displayed in various stores and galleries. She is a member of The Old School House Gallery and Art Centre in Qualicum Beach where she attended a variety of classes. By providing painting lessons, she shares her skills and knowledge of art through intuition.
